Our Learning Environment
Our foundation-building curriculum is based on the Virginia Standards of Learning and taught through thematic units while incorporating a balance of Christian morals and values. This program nurtures growth and learning through a variety of activities and Bible verses that are presented in a hands-on and developmentally- appropriate manner.
Grace’s Little Angels provides a loving and caring environment for social interaction, with emphasis on Christian morals and principles. We use all types of learning styles and enrich the students’ experiences with field trips, outdoor play, songs, arts, and crafts.
Faculty and Staff
Our faculty is selected based on educational background, experience, and love and understanding of children and their needs. To ensure the best care in meeting the needs of each child, enrollment is limited to a ratio of 1 adult to 10 children.
Raegan Pittman, Director
I am the director at GLA. I received my BS in Family and Child Development from VT and my MsED from Old Dominion in Early Childhood Education. I started this program in 2010 with 2 teachers and 20 students. We have now blossomed to 2 centers with 17 full-time teachers, before and after-school care programs, and a summer camp. I have 2 sons who are 19 and 15 and I have been happily married to my husband for 20 years. I have been attending Grace Memorial for 41 years and I am so grateful that they have allowed me to fulfill my calling with GLA.
